The short version

  • These Terms cover your use of this website. Paid work is governed by a separate written agreement.
  • Contacting us is free and doesn’t commit you (or us) to anything.
  • Every project is scoped and agreed in writing before work begins.
  • You keep ownership of your data. Who owns deliverables is set out in each project agreement.
  • We treat what you share with us as confidential.

This summary is for convenience. The full text below is what applies.

Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and JP Automations Services (“JP Automations Services,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) covering your access to and use of jpautomationsservices.com (the “Website”). By using the Website or submitting information through it, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Website.

If you use the Website on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that business, and “you” includes that business.

Our services

JP Automations Services designs, builds, and supports custom automation for businesses. This includes workflow automation, connecting business software, spreadsheet and data automation, follow-up workflows, document and form automation, and AI-assisted workflows (together, the “Services”).

Descriptions of the Services on this Website are general information. They aren’t an offer, and they don’t guarantee that a particular solution is available or suitable for your business.

Using this website

You agree to use the Website lawfully and not to:

  • submit false, misleading, or someone else’s information;
  • send spam, malware, or content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes anyone’s rights;
  • try to gain unauthorized access to the Website, its hosting, or any connected systems, or interfere with how they work;
  • scrape, copy, or harvest content or contact details from the Website by automated means without our written permission.

We may restrict or block access to the Website if we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken.

Inquiries and consultations

Sending us a message through the contact form or by email is free and creates no obligation on either side. It doesn’t create a client relationship, and we aren’t required to accept any project.

Anything we say during an initial conversation, including suggestions about what could be automated, is general guidance based on the information you’ve given us. It isn’t a commitment to a particular result, price, or timeline until it’s confirmed in a written agreement.

Project engagements

Before we start paid work, we agree the details in writing, for example in a proposal, statement of work, or services agreement (a “Project Agreement”). The Project Agreement sets out the scope, deliverables, fees, payment terms, timeline, ownership of deliverables, and support arrangements for that project.

If anything in a Project Agreement conflicts with these Terms, the Project Agreement takes priority for that project. Work outside the agreed scope requires a written change, which may affect cost and timing.

Proposals, estimates, and fees

Any estimate or proposal is based on the information available when it’s prepared. It becomes binding only when both parties accept it in writing. If the workflow turns out to be materially different from what was described, we’ll discuss any change to scope, cost, or timing with you before going ahead.

Fees, invoicing, and payment terms are set out in each Project Agreement. Costs charged by third-party software providers, such as subscriptions, usage fees, or API charges, are your responsibility unless the Project Agreement says otherwise.

Your responsibilities

When we work together, you agree to:

  • give us accurate information about your processes, requirements, and systems;
  • provide timely access to the accounts, tools, and people we need, and keep your own login credentials secure;
  • make sure you have the right to share any data you give us, and that using it in an automated workflow complies with laws that apply to your business;
  • review and test workflows before relying on them, and tell us promptly about any issues;
  • keep appropriate backups of your business data.

Third-party tools and platforms

Our work often connects to software provided by other companies, such as form builders, CRMs, spreadsheets, email, scheduling, and cloud storage. Your use of those products is governed by their own terms and policies.

We don’t control third-party platforms and aren’t responsible for their availability, security, pricing, or changes they make. If a provider changes or discontinues a feature, a workflow may need to be updated; any work needed for that is handled under your Project Agreement or support arrangement.

AI-assisted features

Some workflows use AI for tasks like categorizing, extracting, summarizing, or drafting information. AI output can be incomplete or inaccurate. Where AI is used, we design workflows so that a person can review results that matter, and you remain responsible for decisions made using that output.

Confidentiality

We treat non-public information you share with us about your business, processes, systems, and customers as confidential. We use it only to evaluate and deliver the Services, and we don’t disclose it to others except to service providers who need it to help us do that work, or where the law requires. We’re happy to sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement before discussing sensitive details.

We may describe completed work in general terms, for example as a case study, but only without identifying you or disclosing confidential information, unless you give us written permission.

Intellectual property

The Website and its content, including text, design, graphics, logos, and code, belong toJP Automations Services or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for your own reference. You may not copy, republish, or use them commercially without our written permission.

You keep all rights to your own data and materials. Ownership of and rights to project deliverables are set out in the relevant Project Agreement. We keep ownership of our general know-how, methods, and reusable tools that aren’t specific to your business.

Disclaimers

The Website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Information on the Website is general and isn’t legal, financial, tax, medical, or other professional advice. Examples and case studies describe past work and don’t guarantee similar results for your business. Any time or cost savings depend on your specific processes.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JP Automations Services will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity, arising from or related to your use of the Website, even if we were told such damages were possible.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Website will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100). Liability for paid Services is governed by the applicable Project Agreement.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain exclusions or limits of liability, so some of these limits may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JP Automations Services from any claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Website, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of anyone else’s rights.

Links to other websites

The Website may link to websites we don’t operate. We aren’t responsible for their content, policies, or practices, and a link isn’t an endorsement.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Changes apply from the date they’re posted. If you keep using the Website after that, you accept the updated Terms. Changes don’t affect any Project Agreement already in place.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute arises, we’d first like to try to resolve it informally, so please contact us. If that doesn’t work, the dispute will be handled exclusively by the state or federal courts located in the State of California, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.

General terms

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don’t enforce a provision, that doesn’t waive our right to do so later. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any Project Agreement, are the entire agreement between you and us about their subject. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent.
